We are dedicated to providing a comprehensive and individualized treatment program that addresses the complex, multi-dimensional aspects of pain and targets its root cause. Our practice blends Musculoskeletal / Sports Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine therapies.
Whenever possible, noninvasive and medication-free options are considered first. We create individualized treatment programs with the following goals in mind:

We Focus on the Root Cause of Your Pain
With the goal of reducing or eliminating pain for the long-run, Elevate concentrates on more than just symptom management–we zero-in on what is causing the problem to begin with.
Our analysis involves determining peripheral or structural sources of pain and dysfunction. We evaluate all potential pain generators including bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and other soft tissue structures. Our treatment programs seek to address these potential sources of pain and treat local inflammation, muscle spasm, and trigger points to alleviate symptoms. Our goals include restoring joint mobility, motion, motor control, strength, dynamic stability, and neuromuscular control.
We investigate whether pain is due to actual tissue damage, ongoing inflammation, or abnormal functioning of the nervous system. While the experience of pain may be similar in all three, the mechanisms are different and will influence the treatment approach. When appropriate, we seek to calm the hyper-reactivity of the peripheral and central nervous systems and counteract neuroplastic changes in the brain associated with chronic pain.
With our understanding of pain as a complex biopsychosocial phenomenon, we consider the “whole person” and examine how lifestyle may be causing or affecting the disorder. We determine which lifestyle behaviors impact inflammation, immunity, the nervous system, and other elements integral to the pain experience and healing.
Additionally, we specifically look into those psychosocial factors which may be barriers to improvement or place a patient at risk for developing chronic symptoms. We evaluate stress levels, mood, attitudes and perceptions with treatment goals of enhancing resilience, perceived control, self-awareness and self-regulation.
Our aim is to uncover all contributors to a pain disorder in order to optimize our treatment programs to achieve sustainable relief.
